Manufactured by Michihamono, of Japan, this 1.5mm skew corner chisel is made from high-speed steel, which is a high-alloy tool steel with high hardness and high wear resistance, perfect for wood carving. This skew chisel is guaranteed to arrive at your door razor-sharp and can be resharpened easily when the blade gets dull, providing you many years of service. This tool has a durable handle made from Japanese cherry blossom wood that holds the tang securely, as well as providing a nice grip and makes the tool easy to hold.
This tool features a skewed 1.5mm broad rounded cutting edge for producing small details and finishing hard-to-reach places like curved edges and corners. This sharp blade is angled, meaning the user can carve in different ways to create wood designs. - Never use the blade of this tool as a lever to remove wood,
- Cutting strokes should be only vertical (i.e., up or down), with minimal pressure applied,
- Horizontal shearing force, in any axis, should never be applied.
