This very fine wood working skew chisel, from Japan, is made from excellent quality Blue Paper Steel (Aogami) No.2. This steel is the same steel as used in Japanese swords, with a high tungsten and chromium content, ensuring the blade will have a high level of stickiness and abrasion resistance, making it perfect for wood carving. This tool is guaranteed to be sharp and ready to use right out of the package, a great addition to your wood carving tools. Its long handle, made from Japanese cypress holds the tang securely for better carving, and gives the user comfort when using.
This tool can be used for creating extremely fine details and for cleaning deep corners and edges of your wood. Buy this left skew chisel along with the right skew type (sold separately) to carve wood in either direction.
Kindly note the blade may be inserted into the wood slightly off-centre, this is a normal imperfection in the manufacturing process and should not affect the performance of this tool.
