This Michihamono short bent shallow gouge is crafted from Blue Paper Steel with chromium and tungsten added for corrosion and chip resistance, making it an excellent material for wood carving tools. The handle is made of smooth Japanese cypress wood, making it comfortable to grasp and use for long periods of time.

This tool features a short bent blade with a shallow cutting edge that is ideal for smoothing and finishing sections on a carving without fouling the wood's edges. Different blade widths are available to meet all of your woodworking needs (each sold separately).

Approximate Dimensions & Product Data:

  • Blade Material: Blue Paper Steel (Aogami) No.2
  • Blade Width: 9mm
  • Handle Material: Japanese Cypress Wood
  • Handle Length: 180mm

Please note: The blade edge is sharp, keep out of reach of children. Store without the blade contacting any hard surfaces to avoid dulling the cutting edge.
