Rub and press paper for woodblock printing using this quality yet affordable plastic Japanese baren from Michihamono. This tool features raised semi-spheres that are formed in a spiral to allow fine sliding and has stronger durability than the bamboo variants as it is made from ABS resin. An ideal and inexpensive tool if you are just starting your journey in woodblock printing.

To use this Bamboo Baren, hold the handle properly by inserting your fingers (except for the thumb) through the handle, and the heel part of the hand is touching the back of the baren. In this way, you can put more pressure on the baren. Start rubbing from the corner of the paper to make sure the paper is perfectly aligned to the woodblock, and move the baren in a small, circular motion and gradually increasing motion until the whole area of the paper is pressed to the woodblock.

Our Return Policy:

Most items can be refunded provided you send your order back to us within 30 days of purchase and if the items returned to us are in an unopened, unused and original condition. Simply email us to confirm your item can be returned. If we approve your return, please return the item(s), with your invoice to our address in Japan, and write on your invoice that you'd like a refund, and the reason why. Once we recieve your approved return in an unused, unopened and original condition we will refund you the cost of the item as soon as possible.

We stand behind every product we sell, therefore, should you feel an item has been misrepresented, or is not in the condition as promised, please let us know and we will promptly replace the product, or return it to us for a full refund.

Please note, for all returns, the cost of return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
