A claw hammer is mainly used to extract and strike nails on wood. To properly use this claw hammer, get a firm grip on the handle of the hammer, it is better to grip the handle near the end. Hold the nail using your other hand near its head to give your fingers leeway. When swinging, use the whole strength of your arm to add the right amount of strength needed, then let the hammer do the work.
When extracting the nail, slide the claw of the hammer onto the nail then place any kind of wood scrap under the hammer to add more leverage. Then lift the hammer until the nail is fully removed. Make sure to grip the handle of the hammer when extracting nails.
Please note: Wear gloves and safety glasses when using this hammer. Keep away from reach of children.
